Request For Community Feedback

Royal Roads University is a scholarly community where all members have rights and responsibilities that exercised together foster an environment in which learning and development are maximized. Sexual violence will not be tolerated in our community. To make this absolutely clear, the University has established an Ad Hoc Task Force on Sexual Violence that has been charged with researching and recommending a policy on sexual violence prevention and response.

The Task Force has prepared a draft policy and is seeking your feedback. We welcome your thoughts until October 2nd, 2016.

It is our intent to create an environment where our university community members  are comfortable speaking openly and honestly, and we recognize that this topic is very difficult for some.  As a reminder, personal counselling is available for students (see http://www.royalroads.ca/current-students/counselling-services) and employees can access our Employee Family Assistance Program (see https://humanresources.royalroads.ca/efap).

If you have any questions about the Task Force or our process, please contact Task Force co-chairs Roberta Mason or Brie Deimling.

Thank you for sharing your time and insight in this important work. Your many and varied contributions to our university community are sincerely appreciated.
